NEW BEDFORD - Narcotics police seized two firearms and cocaine after raiding a West End apartment this week.
Arrested were Eddie Guzman-Acevedo, 21, Gladys Acevedo-Cruz, 44, and Onix Bultron-Cruz, 47, all of 335 Mill St.
The defendants were arraigned Thursday in New Bedford District Court on multiple charges that include possession of a large capacity weapon and unlawful possession of ammunition.
Mr. Guzman-Acevedo is also charged with distribution of cocaine. He was the target named in the search warrant for allegedly operating a "cocaine delivery service," court records said.
Narcotics police executed the warrant for Mr. Guzman's apartment and red BMW on Wednesday evening. Inside the residence's bathroom, police said, they found a 9 mm pistol and a .32 caliber pistol with 100 rounds of ammunition. Drug packaging materials and a scale also were found in the apartment, court records said.
According to police reports, Mr. Guzman-Acevedo told police he had cocaine in his car.
Near the vehicle's sunroof, police found a bag of cocaine with an estimated $20 street value, court records said.
Told by detectives that they found one bag of cocaine, Mr. Guzman-Acevedo allegedly told police he normally carries more on him, according to police reports.
Police Detective Jarrod Gracia investigated the case.
