ATTLEBORO - Police are looking for the getaway car in the knifepoint robbery of a South Attleboro gas station clerk.

The robbers took all the money the clerk had in his pockets Saturday night, police said.

Anyone who saw a dark-colored Ford Taurus with Rhode Island license plates near the Getty station on Route 1A just before the Pawtucket line should call Attleboro Police detectives at 508-222-1259, Detective Richard Campion said Sunday night.

The clerk received a minor forearm laceration after the 8:45 p.m. incident, Campion said.

Here's how police described the crime: The clerk was directing a female customer to Interstate 295 when he saw a car parked near the station's air compressor. The two robbers grabbed the clerk's wrist, pulled him into the car, put a knife against his forearm and ordered him to give them the money in his pockets, Campion said.

The clerk complied, handing his assailants $100 to $200.

The robbers then ordered the clerk to turn around and face the building. They then drove south on Route 1A.

The clerk described the suspects as two black males, one of whom wore a "do rag" on his head.
