Assault among charges filed

Two rowdy guests at the Omni Parker House Hotel were given the boot early yesterday after one kicked and assaulted police officers while the other filmed the fracas, police said.
Jessica Mathis and Stephen P. Ellington, both of Connecticut, were arrested just after midnight at the hotel on School Street after they refused to leave when told to by security because of unruly, loud, and obnoxious behavior, police said.
Police said that when they got to the hotel, Mathis was standing in the hallway stomping her feet and yelling, "Why do I have to go?!"
Officers confronted the 22-year-old, requesting she leave on her own before deciding to arrest her. As officers were placing her in custody at the hotel and again at the District 1 police station, Mathis became belligerent and kicked and assaulted several officers, police said. The officers were not seriously injured, said police spokesman David Estrada.
While trying to subdue the woman, officers were confronted by Ellington, 21, who they said tried to hamper their efforts by standing in the middle of the sidewalk and turning a video camera on the officers making the arrest, causing a crowd to gather.
Ellington refused to leave as requested by police and was also arrested.
Mathis, of Willington, was charged with five counts of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, five counts of assault and battery on a police officer, trespassing, resisting arrest, disturbing the peace, and threats.
Ellington, of Uncasville, was charged with disorderly conduct and unlawful recording.
Security officers for the hotel confirmed the incident. Estrada said the pair were arraigned in Boston Municipal Court yesterday.

Oh.....too bad.
No award winning Boston Cream Pie for Ms. Mathis and Mr. Ellington.
Instead they can enjoy the "bologna surprise" in a District 1 holding cell...
