Town of West Stockbridge Police Officer Full-time The Town of West Stockbridge is accepting applications for a full-time police Officer. This posting will remain open until filled. Candidates shall have the following qualifications; be legally eligible for full-time employment as a Police Officer in the Commonwealth of MA; successful completion of a basic recruit academy for full-time Police Officer either in or recognized by the Commonwealth of MA; ability to pass or having passed (within 3 years) a MA HRD PAT test, High School diploma or equivalent; MA driver's license; must pass a detailed background investigation and review of driving record; must possess a Class A MA License to Carry; demonstrate problem solving ability; one-year experience with MGL Chapter 41 Police Powers (any combination of full-time, reserve, special); comprehensive knowledge of Community Policing techniques and principals; ability to work a variable schedule including night shifts, evening shifts, day shifts and weekends; solid knowledge of MA General Laws and Criminal Procedure; clear and succinct writing skills; ability/ willingness to work independently.
