THE CITY OF CRANSTON ANNOUNCES APPLICATION FOR THE POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER Must be a minimum of 21 years of age by September 10, 2005 Completed 60 college credits from an accredited college or university OR completed 2 years of active imilitary service in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corp of Coast Guard OR have graduated from a certified state of municipal policy academy with a minimum of 2 years active full-time employment as a Police Officer in a state, municipal or county law enforcement agency Must be a citizen and resident of the State of Rhode Island upon appointment and able to pass rigid agility, physical and written tests. Must be able to read, write and speak the English language. Weight proportionate to height TO APPLY: You must submit proof of Associates Degree or 60 college credits from a recognized college or university (diploma/transcript) or, proof of 2 years of active military service in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corp or Coast Guard (copy of DD214) OR copy of certificate from state or municipal police academy with verification of employment from law enforcement agency. Must submit photocopy of valid operator's license.
