A Framingham man doubled as Spider-Man yesterday, scaling the side of his girlfriend's Georgetown Drive apartment building, climbing three floors before breaking in, police said.
Leonidas Pleitez, 39, was arrested shortly after the 7:50 p.m. break-in at 27 Georgetown Drive when officers found him hiding behind some bushes next to the apartment building, police Lt. Paul Farley said.
This was the second arrest in a week for Pleitez. He was arrested on Friday at 10 p.m. and charged with indecent exposure and public drinking when he pulled his pants down in public and urinated near the public library.
Police say Pleitez climbed the outside of his girlfriend's building, using the decks on each floor to get her third-floor apartment.
Finding a locked sliding glass door, Pleitez kicked it down and entered the apartment, Farley said.
"He went into her bedroom while she was sleeping," he said. "She was awakened by some noise, and he appeared to be drunk."
The woman got out of bed and told Pleitez to leave or she would call the police. Farley said the woman grabbed the phone and showed it to her ex-boyfriend to demonstrate she really was going to call the police.
"He tried to grab the phone from her and he pushed her," Farley said.
Pleitez ran from the apartment as the woman began dialing.
"When he was getting arrested, he looked up to the third floor and yelled, 'Thanks a lot lady,' " Farley said.
Pleitez, of 42 Gordon St., was charged with domestic assault and battery, breaking and entering, malicious destruction of property worth more than $250 and intimidation of a witness.
He was ordered held on $500 bail at his Framingham District Court arraignment yesterday. He is due back in court on Aug. 21 for a pretrial conference.
