Fall River -
Police are investigating an alleged stabbing outside of the Bank of America on President Avenue.
Police spokesman Sgt. Thomas Mauretti said officers responded to 1604 President Ave. at 2:49 p.m. in response to a bank employee reporting a large fight.
Mauretti said initial reports indicate 30 to 40 youths were in the area and that Charlton Memorial Hospital reported a 23-year-old man coming in seven minutes after the fight with a stab wound.
Mauretti said the victim had a "minor wound to the back," and was released after treatment.
"He said he was breaking up the fight in the parking lot and felt pain in his back, and subsequently realized he had been stabbed," Mauretti said.
One person allegedly claimed to be armed with a gun, while another juvenile ran from the scene before leaving in a motor vehicle, Mauretti said.
