STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Shots were fired near a Christian radio station in central Pennsylvania after police responded to reports that an armed man was headed to the station's offices.
Police say they fired shots in Friday's confrontation; it was not immediately clear whether anyone else did. A coroner has been called to the scene.
WTLR station manager Mark VanOuse (van-OOS') says police were called after warnings that an armed man was driving to the station's Ferguson Township offices.
A witness tells the Centre Daily Times that a man appeared to challenge police with his Ford Bronco and rammed a police cruiser. Witnesses say they heard about a dozen shots fired and that the man's vehicle ran into the side of a building near the station.
