Police chief arrested for drunk driving twice in one day
By The Associated Press
(3/15/05 - STRASBURG, VA) — A police chief was ordered held without bail Monday on charges of driving drunk twice in one day. Middletown Police Chief Roger Ashley has been held in jail since his arrest Saturday. An April 11 trial was scheduled after a court appearance Monday.

Ashley was arrested the first time in his unmarked police car and a second time, five hours later, in his personal vehicle, Strasburg Police Chief Marshall Robinson said.

Officers responded to the first arrest after Robinson's car had run into a vehicle on Route 11 in this northern Virginia community.

Robinson was arrested a second time in his personal vehicle, police said.

Robinson's status as chief of Middletown was to be reviewed by town leaders later Monday.

I heard Virginia Police have no thin blue line police courtesy. Its real cut throat worse then Massachusetts law enforcement. Granted I don't think any should have been granted to this idiot. :martini:  :alcoholi: :uc:

I know this is off-topic so no yelling...

I have heard the same thing about the thin line in Virginia:
A friend of mine is in Navy Law Enforcement and was recently stopped for speeding on a Virginia Highway by a trooper. Now he tells me he was very nice and kept his mouth shut, but included his ID along with the license and registration. The trooper returned with a court summons for 83 in a 65.

hmmmmmmmmm...

Mikey,
The VA Trooper was a disgruntled former marine (No such thing as ex-marine) from the 1980's with an anti-squid attitude!
