Re: Should college Degrees be required to be a P.O.?
POLICE AUTO ACCIDENTS (H 415) -- The Public Safety Committee held a hearing on legislation providing that an impartial person conduct the investigation of any motor vehicle accident involving a police officer. So my question is who exactly is going to be investigating accidents involving PO's?
Anyway back on topic......as far as my opinion. I think that a Bachelor's degree probably should be mandatory for Lieutenants and up seeing as they do a lot of administrative duties and the pay is more consistent with a job with a degree. But I don't think its necessary for Patrolmen and Sergeants seeing as common sense is more pertinent to their job.
No actually I haven't and I try to keep up w/ the Roll Call up on the hill. No offense but if its talk, I don't think its talk by anybody in the legis. But speaking of Beacon Hill has anyone seen this new piece of work yet?epd408 said:Anyone heard this that this state is now tring to pass a bill to make it mandatory to have a degree in order to become a Police officer in this State?
