CUT BANK, Mont. - The FBI is asking for the public's help in an investigation into the deliberate poisoning of a border patrol agent in Cut Bank earlier this year.
Timothy Fuhrman, special agent in charge of the FBI's regional office in Salt Lake City, on Wednesday announced a $25,000 reward for information in the poisoning of U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Agent Denton Moberly. A tip line has also been set up. The number is 1-866-931-6962.
Moberly had lunch at a fast food restaurant in Cut Bank in February and became violently ill. In July, an informant told the Glacier Count sheriff's office that the "border cop" had been deliberately fed a farm poison, the Great Falls Tribune reported on its Web site.
Moberly, who is confined to a wheelchair from the effects of the poison, attended the news conference announcing the reward.
