    STAGING INFORMATION




    Wake: Monday April 7, 2014

    Officers are to report to the staging area which will open at 1300 hours at the State Park & Ride. The staging area is located adjacent to 61 Commerce Way Plymouth, MA
    Officers will be transported from staging area to the wake at Memorial Hall located at 83 Court Street Plymouth, MA for a walk by at 1500 hours.
    Upon completion of wake, officers will be transported back to the staging area on Commerce Way.
    All motorcycles reporting for the wake are to report to the same staging area adjacent to 61 Commerce Way

    Funeral: Tuesday April 8, 2014

    Officers are to report to the staging area which will open at 0700 hours at the State Park & Ride. The staging area is located adjacent to 61 Commerce Way Plymouth, MA
    Officers will be transported from the staging area to the funeral at Saint Peters Church located at 81 Court Street Plymouth, MA. Busing to the church will commence at 0800 hours for the 1100 hours service.
    At conclusion of service, a reception will immediately follow at Memorial Hall (Across the street from church) at 83 Court Street Plymouth, MA. Officers will be transported from reception back to staging area.

    Only the Plymouth Police will report to the cemetery for the burial ceremony.
    ***MOTORCYCLES: Any motorcycles attending on Tuesday for the funeral service, are to report to the motorcycle staging area at the East Bay Grill located at 173 Water Street Plymouth, MA by 0900 hours. These motorcycles will be pre-staged later at the cemetery.

    Plymouth Police Officer Gregory T. Maloney, age 44, died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 1, 2014, as a result of a motorcycle accident while on active duty. He was the beloved husband of Susan J. (Skowronek) Maloney of Plymouth. Born in Chicago, Ill., Nov. 4, 1969, he was a son of Robert Maloney of Plymouth and the late Vilma (Civita) Maloney. He was educated in Plymouth, a graduate of Plymouth-Carver High School, Class of 1987, and received his bachelor's degree as well as his masters degree in Criminal Justice from Western New England College. He joined the Plymouth Police Dept. in 1997, where he had proudly served the community for 17 years. Gregg was an avid car enthusiast. He was a member of the Plymouth Police Relief Association. Besides leaving his wife Susan, he was the loving father of Gregory Todd Maloney Jr. and Michael Christopher Maloney both of Plymouth. He was the cherished brother of Robert W. Maloney and his wife Angela of Raleigh, N.C., Kristyn A. Fabyanski and her husband Mark of Long Valley, N.J., Timothy M. Maloney and his wife Kimberly of Hoboken, N.J. Visitation will be held in Memorial Hall, 83 Court St., Plymouth, Monday, April 7, 2014, from 3 to 8 p.m. The Mass of Christian burial will be held in St. Peters Church, 84 Court St., Plymouth, Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Vine Hills Cemetery, Plymouth. Donations in his memory may be made to the Officer Gregg Maloney Memorial Fund, c/o Rockland Trust Company, 1 Pilgrim Hill Rd., Plymouth, MA 02360.
