A Plymouth man accused of robbing a string of stores in Carver, Kingston, and Plymouth is headed to jail for four to five years.
Dana W. Campbell, 22, of 48 Huntington Road, pleaded guilty earlier this year to all counts, but his sentencing was delayed while he completed a drug rehabilitation program.
Plymouth police charged Campbell with robbing three gas stations in January and December of 2007 after showing clerks a handgun. Campbell committed similar offenses in Carver and Kingston.
"These incidents have an emotional toll on the clerks who have the gun shoved in their face," Carver Police Chief Arthur Parker said at the time. "These clerks are sometimes teenagers or older folks. But it really doesn't matter how old you are if someone shoves a gun in your face."
Plymouth Superior Court Judge Robert Troy last week sentenced Campbell to four to five years in jail on six counts of armed robbery. The sentences will run concurrently. Campbell received five years probation on a seventh count. That sentence will run following the jail time.
Campbell received 314 days credit for time already served.
He was ordered to remain drug free, participate in drug counseling, and submit to random urine screens upon his released from jail.
