Other than being an ADA, what qualifications does your friend have to be Sheriff?? Its good to see that he has a non-political agenda running for Sheriff, but just being an ADA doesn't sound to convincing. Although being a Rebublican is a step in the right direction, in and of itself !!!

As for a person not being qualified to be elected to a position in government. If a person runs for Sheriff what would you have for the requirements? How about requirements for a Senator or a Governor or even the President of the United States? The simple fact is that anyone can run for any elective office in this country.

I believe in order to run for District Attorney, you need to be an attorney. To run for Sheriff, you should need to be in law enforcement or corrections.
