DENNIS — A man is being held without bail after being charged with impersonating a police officer, aggravated rape, kidnapping with sexual assault while armed, and assault with a dangerous weapon.

Irakli Patsuria, 21, of Pembroke, was taken into custody after the Dennis police secured a warrant for his arrest, according to court documents. The charges come from events that occurred on Sept. 20. He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Friday in Orleans District Court and was ordered held in jail without bail due to his potential dangerousness until his next hearing on Oct. 4.

The details of the case have been impounded due to the state rape shield law, according to the clerk at Orleans District Court.
