I know it's early to get excited about the Patriots, but...

The Patriots and Colts will hold a rematch of the 2003 AFC Championship when they kick off the 2004 regular season on Thursday Sept. 9 at Gillette Stadium.

The announcement was made yesterday by Commissioner Paul Tagliabue at the League Meetings in Palm Beach, Fla.

The Thursday night game will be on ABC and will be the first regular season game of the new season.

The complete 2004 regular season schedule will be released within the next week and published on Patriots.com.

But for now, GO SOX... Tampa Bay D-Rays (1-0) beat the Yankees (0-1) this morning in the MLB season opener in Japan... this is probably the only time the D-Rays will lead the AL East for the remainder of this decade!!!

haha ya I can't wait for this upcoming season...with the Bruins kicking ass, the Celts possibly making the playoffs (wouldn't it be nice if we played the Nets?) and a kickass Sox club...it just adds to the excitement that we'll be playing the team that we smoked in the AFC Championship game...hey maybe Manning will throw a few more INT's our way :)
