First I'd like to greet everyone on this board. You have provided a great deal of information that I will benefit from. Thank you. Now for my question.

I had an oral board interview with the MBTA Police dept on 4/12/05. I believe I did pretty well. I have not heard anything back from them. They're looking to put an academy through by mid-may. Should I be concerned?

I haven't done the PAT or Psych test. Just the Oral and background investigation along with the home visit. All my refs have been contacted. My friend told me that if I was going to be disqualified I'd find out right away so hopefully no news is good news. Any info some can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Things sound like they went well so far. Dont worry about not hearing yet. They most likely want to have the oral and backgrounds all completed before they set the date for the PAT and Psych.

The next PAT is Thursday the 28th and then May 12. If they are looking to get a class running...they should be calling you very soon. I wouldn't worry...this is what I call the hurry up and wait period. It sucks but is well worth it when it is over.

Thanks for the response folks. I really appreciate all the support I'm getting. I know I shouldn't worry about it but that's easier said than done. Hopefully my friend is right and that if they were going to disqualify me I'd be notified by now.
