    Those airplanes are not thrash , a lot of them were taken out early in order to make way for newer aircraft. As a matter of fact some of the hornets there will be upgraded to C+ standard better than fleet aircraft now besides the E/F super hornets

    Marine Corps aviation has been a sad state of affairs for a number of years. It's not the Marines fault that congress has not been giving them the money they need to keep their fleet airworthy. They have been cannibalizing parts from other front line aircraft to keep their planes airworthy.

    The F-35 project has been a fucking debacle. They did the right thing by not upgrading to the Super Hornet but their hard work has unfortunately not been rewarded.
