A 16-year-old student was arraigned today on gun charges after cops busted him at the Jeremiah E. Burke High School with a handgun and ammo, authorities said.
"These types of incidents are rare in our schools and that only makes today more frightening and disappointing," said school Superintendent Carol R. Johnson.
According to a release by officials of Boston Public Schools, the firearm was not loaded but the unidentified student did have "a small amount of ammunition."
