I can think of plenty of other bad candidates that have snuck through the background process of many departments. I guess the only good thing that comes from this is at least they will get rid of this problem before graduation day

Kozmo to answer your question. Part of the reason that happens with NYPD is they dont do physical appearances involving candidates. They make you supply tons of paperwork regarding anything that comes up but that is it. I probably should have explained this when I made the statement about candidates sneaking through the cracks
