Notable K-9 activity from the weekend
Tpr Matt Donah & K-9 Brutus locate B&E suspect in Northborough:
On Sunday morning 8/11/13, at approx. 0450 hours, Tpr. Matt Donah and K-9 Brutus (Pictured here) responded to Northborough to assist Northborough Police with the search of a subject who had fled on foot from a B&E of a house. The subject fled out of the back window when officers arrived. Tpr. Donah and K-9 Brutus tracked the subject through woods and into a deep swamp, at times tracking though chest-deep water. K-9 Brutus located the subject in the swamp hiding under thick brush. Northborough officers took the subject into custody.
Tpr Mozuch & K-9 Jacco find subject after crash in Westfield:
On Friday night, 8/9/13, at approx. 10:15 PM, Tpr. Gary Mozuch and K-9 Jacco responded to Westfield to assist Westfield Police with the search of a subject who had fled on foot from a serious motor vehicle accident. Tpr. Mozuch and K-9 Jacco tracked through thick woods and located the subject hiding in the woods. The subject was arrested by Westfield officers on numerous motor vehicle charges and other charges.
Follow-up from one of Friday's posts: Rockland Police investigated the subject that Tpr. Tim Blackwell and K-9 Jager had located for Hanover Police for numerous MV B&E's in Hanover. Rockland Police searched that subject's apartment and located evidence of MV B&E's in Rockland. The subject is now being charged with over 100 MV B&E's in the Hanover and Rockland area.
