The Police Department, as authorized by the North Little Rock City Council, has 205 sworn police officer positions. Testing for police officer positions is scheduled 4 times a year for persons that have completed a police officer application package. Testing candidates will receive written notice of the date, time and location of the test. The department also has 50 civilian employee positions. These positions are tested for and filled as needed.
