At times the preparation can be demanding. But after hours of physical training, days on the firing range and the driving track, and weeks of hands-on classroom instruction it's time to put your new skills to the test. Only fourteen weeks of an intense field training program stand between you and your ultimate goal - being a solo police officer.

Do you think that you have the dedication, drive, and commitment to become a Norman Police Officer? All applicants must be 21 years of age and not over 45 years of age (unless they are a prior member of the Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement System), have 60 college credit hours from an accredited college or university, and possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record (out-of-state applicants must be able to obtain an Oklahoma license). Selected applicants must pass an extensive background investigation, polygraph examination, psychological test, physical exam, drug screen, and they must be able to meet the requirements of the Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement System. If you would like to know more, please download a brochure, fill out and submit the form below, or contact the Police Recruiter at (405) 366-5222 ([email protected]).
