EAST BRIDGEWATER -
A WEB Task Force investigation Thursday evening led to the arrest of nine people in a prostitution sting operation.
According to a press release issued by Detective Sgt. Scott Allen of the East Bridgewater Police Department, sexual services were advertised on the popular Web site Craigslist that features free classified advertisements, among other services.
East Bridgewater Detective Michael Jenkins, who is the department's computer investigation specialist, initiated the investigation based on information he received "from various sources that indicated dozens of illegal escort services are presently operating in and around the Bridgewaters, utilizing Craigslist services."
Not only did investigators seek the "alleged prostitutes" who were advertising their services on Craigslist, but they also initiated a "reverse prostitution ring," where investigators advertised sexual services using an undercover Craigslist user name.
On Thursday between 6 and 11 p.m., WEB officers went to an undercover residence in East Bridgewater, which has not been disclosed, where both the alleged "johns" and "prostitutes" responded to the Craigslist postings.
Arrested and charged with engaging in sexual conduct for a fee were Michell Davey, 36, of 99 Pleasant St., Weymouth, Jennifer Schaaf, 22, of 1344 Hyde Park Ave., Hyde Park, Chenchi Lin, (age unavailable), of 2 Hancock St., Quincy, and Emily Poland, 21, of 59 Church St., West Barnstable.
Arrested and charged with paying a fee for sexual conduct were Deric Lipski, 35, of 20 Oak Leaf Lane, Easton; Mark Snow, 53, of 10 Off Grove St., Weymouth; Jeffrey Wentworth, 36, of 329 East St., Bridgewater, and John Dietel, 42, of 57 Colt Drive, Seekonk.
Harold Conille, 26 of 35 Rutland St., Brockton, was arrested and charged with deriving support from prostitution.
During the arrests about $500 was seized from the suspects that is assumed to be money used to fund the illegal prostitution.
In addition to Detective Jenkins, those taking part in Thursday's undercover investigation included East Bridgewater Detective Sgt. Scott Allen; East Bridgewater Detective Paul O'Brien; Bridgewater officers Kelly Robson, Robert Bailey, and Lisa Mitton; West Bridgewater Sgt. Victor Flaherty and Detective Timothy Nixon.
The WEB Major Crimes and Drug Task Force is an investigative team from all three Bridgewaters.

That is a good indicator that they do their job well.;)

I had to laugh at the middle-school-mentality comments. Mike Jenkins is a cool dude, and so is O.B.
:punk:
DetSgt. Allen is a Detective Sergeant, and he'll testify to that fact, so there you are...evil doers beware!
