I have...it's some pretty important stuff. Our whole town is participating and people seem to be serious about getting things done right. Our chance of an actual disaster are pretty low...but it sure pays to be "ready" as much as possible.
We even use the free computer we got as part of a grant for the program.
After taking the course for 2 years in a row at in-service i think NIMS is here to stay for a bit. However this year we were informed that effective dec 2006 every time you have an incident you need to file a form of what your action plan is, what you did and who was there. I ca see this working for large or eve medium scale incident, but the feds wat these form filled out even for things such as mv accidents. I just don't see how it will work for everyday police work.
