MILFORD, NH (CBS) - Police in Milford, New Hampshire are searching for a couple who pretended to be stranded and tried to carjack a woman on Federal Hill Road. The victim was a good Samaritan who tried to help.
Police say at around 10 am Thursday, the victim pulled over when she saw a black Honda Civic pulled to the side of the road with their lights flashing.
Almost as soon as she got out of the car, the male suspect attacked her. He pulled her to the ground and according to Captain Christopher Nervik, told the victim he was going to steal her car.

Police: Woman made up beating, attempted carjacking story

A woman who said she was beaten and almost carjacked when she stopped to help a stranded motorist last week in New Hampshire made up the story, police said.
