Yes, factual scenarios based on real life situations like those found in: "World War Z", "The Dark Knight Rises", "Call of Duty" and "Grand Theft Auto V"
And of course all recruits will have to dress like characters from the chosen scenario-hint on Zombie day just wear an Obama shirt

The latest academy newsletter said recruit class 53-13 was scheduled to begin in November. No mention of a specific date.

I heard that they're still waiting for people to finish their background checks and psych, and that the PAT won't start until the Wed before Thanksgiving.

PATS are only done every other Thursday...

Last PAT of November is Wed due to Thanksgiving. It's on the schedule that you can get from Mass.gov. Besides that it is run every other Thursday.
