A friend of mine out in Newton told me that they are preparing to hire another 13-15 officers. Does anyone know much about this department? Pay/busy/details ? He told me that in the past 2 years they have hired about 35 new officers, this coming at a time when a lot of departments have laid guys off. Anyone have any insight in he department over there?

they were just voted the safest city in the US... there are plenty of details available if you want to work.... they are looking for a new chief now, their old chief was from NYPD and everyone hated him, so depending on who gets the job, it could be a good place to work. Its a pretty big city but not much major crime
