NEW MILFORD, Conn. (AP) - New Milford police say they hope renewed publicity will generate new tips to solve a 2004 murder case.
They say even a $50,000 reward offer has failed to produce enough information about the beating death of 33-year-old Maria Rojas. Her body was found four years ago this month inside David's Flooring, the business she ran with her husband.
A New Milford police sergeant says there was a spurt of information after the reward was posted, but that it has slowed down.
He says they were heartened by the fact that publicity about a 2004 homicide in Danbury helped jump-start that investigation, leading to the arrest of a suspect.
