It would be nice to list salaries and other benefits so they won’t waste your time

Google’s a hell of a search engine
And also a brand new station
Yes that too (coming soon, hopefully will be completed December '21).
A new station shouldn't really matter. Unless you're administration, a good cop, should only be inside the station to write reports and process prisoners.
I disagree. I’ve worked in a new station and an old one and I would take the new one all day long. It was nice to have a good sized gym and an actual break room. To speak to your points it was a lot better to have a report room with ample space and plenty of computers and to have a modern, safe booking area. My current station is outdated, cramped and unsafe.
But I get what you are saying.
If you saw our old station you would understand. Built in 1931 and it showed.
A good cop also never eats in public or uses a public bathroom. A decent base of operations is huge for positive morale.
I don't either. Don't be a station sloth. I would be far more concerned about the starting pay, time off, detail opportunities, upward mobility, than what kind of station they have.
At my department you have to request permission to return to the station. Unless it's for an arrest, report, meal break , authorized gym use or to take a shit, your ass is going back on the road. The station isn't a club house.
My department built a new station several years ago. It's already falling apart and the department has outgrown the facility.
However, I am not going to hijack this thread. Good luck to those that lateral over.
Sorry you work for a bunch of control-freak micro-managers. My department trusts me to carry weapons and make arrests without special permission, they also trust me enough to decide if I can go back to the station.
Meanwhile....we're still looking for quality lateral applicants.
the problem is a high percentage of people in this state are working for those control freak micro-managers.... its sad and demoralizing. People constantly talk about the state of morale in policing and how politicians and the public are causing low morale etc.... take a look at the leadership of a lot of these departments and a lot of the morale problems could be easily fixed.
Separate names with a comma.
