Need donated vests please

4529 Views 27 Replies 11 Participants Last post by  Goose
I am a current Security Officer at a hospital and an Auxiliary Police Officer as well. At the hospital we are unarmed, but we still see our fair share of combative patients. I am reaching out to Officers on this forum to help me. Our manager has approved our officers to wear ballistic vests as a safety precaution . Not so much for a potential shooting more for combative patients . While restraining patients they sometimes kick and punch. The vests could help prevent breaking a rib or getting hurt. If any one on here has an extra vest lying around and would not mind giving it up for a good cause donations would mean a lot. There is no extra money to give 15 vests to our department. We are reaching local police departments also. If you would like to help contact Scott (me )

Check out this link...I know few officers that received donated vests

Kicks and punches? Wear hockey pads. Need a vest without a gun, for hands on? Better off with a stab vest instead.

^^ stab vests may do the trick, thanks for the reply.
Stab vests are ultra expensive.

Also, unless I know what you guys have for a CORI, I would have a very hard time recommending any LEO to donate their body armor. That being said, they no longer let us keep our old armor when they give us new stuff.

I like that avatar by the way, though I don't think you should be using it. I'm sure you are not MSP Auxiliary.

They let us keep our old vests the last time we got new ones (FAR too long ago), but most of us donated them to a program that shipped them over to Iraq where they were used to provide some protection for unarmored Humvees, they put them in the door panels and on the floor boards.

I absolutely love the new Avatar, Yano. I only suggest removing that metal badge. Someone at the hospital may take it away and stab you with it. Just Saying.

He must be buddys with our friends the process servers.
Or strangle you with the chain, Corey.
It's not Corey. Scott was nice enough to provide everyone with his name. Scott's FB page is only semi private. And that's just for starters. His profile here, claims he is on the job. However, it's not at Six Flags. It really irks me when people claim they are something they're not, or embellish whatever that is that they are.

Awww, too late...locked down.

Scott, I've got a few junior trooper stickers if you need to feel important.
