Usually it's not the HOG riders acting like jackasses, but the rice rocket dopes.
Never underestimate the stupidity of people.

Police did not say whether he was wearing a helmet.

In the 1970's - early 80's the Boston Police used to have a Motorcycle Drill Team which did these type of stunts. Figure 8's, standing on the seat, etc.... Fun to watch but even at an early age, I thought it was very dangerous.

Maybe Carl was at the same parades as I was but didn't heed the warning..... "These stunts performed by professionals. Don't try this at home, or in NH, especially if you're not going to wear a helmet." Dummass.

custom bike builder "Indian Larry" was killed doing the same stunt.

there's a few guys that do it , but obviously it's dangerous , factor in alcohol and it turns lethal :(

sister's fiancé use to do it all the time until he was on the way to the beach wearing a blow up donald duck toy around his waist , stood up, the wind caught the thing from underneath and off he went.

George was a good guy , been gone now for a few years

MILFORD, N.H. -- A Nashua man who was seriously injured while performing a motorcycle stunt has pleaded guilty to reckless operation.

Police said Carl Hannigan, 51, was standing upright on the seat of his 1974 Harley Davidson in August when he fell off, seriously injuring his head and legs.
On Tuesday, a judge revoked his license for 60 days and fined him $600. He also was cited for failing to register the motorcycle.
