An Everett woman missing for nearly a week was found slumped in her family's car with a bullet in her head on a Somerville street Monday night, prosecutors said.
Charline Rosemond, 23, failed to return home from work last week, which touched off a frantic search for the woman.
Rosemond left for work on April 7 about 7 a.m. and was last seen driving her father's gray Honda Civic leaving work later that day.
The car was found by Somerville police parked on Webster Avenue Monday at 6:30 p.m. They found Rosemond inside dead, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's Office.
No further details were released.
Everett police had issued a missing person alert Friday that said Rosemond was last spotted Tuesday about 5 p.m., leaving the Brighton Herb Chambers car dealership, where she worked.
She never returned home or reported back to her job, family and co-workers told police.
Family members told WCVB-TV Channel 5 that Rosemond had intended to buy a car Wednesday and had a large amount of cash on her. Authorities did not say whether any cash was recovered with her body. Her debit card was used twice the day of her disapperance. Police told the station they tried unsuccessfully to locate her cell phone's position, but it had been turned off.
A woman who answered the phone at a number listed to Rosemond said she was related to the dead woman, but declined to comment.
Somerville police referred comment on the death investigation to the district attorney's office.
