Milford woman faces license charge
MENDON - Police applied for a summons for a 26-year-old Milford woman on motor vehicle charges after a car accident Wednesday, police said.
Maria Rosa, of 40 Franklin St., will be charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, making an improper turn and a marked lanes violation, police said.
Rosa was involved in the three-car accident on Hartford Avenue East about 3:50 p.m., police said.

Douglas man to be charged after crash
MENDON - Police applied for a summons for a 23-year-old Douglas man after a motor vehicle stop Wednesday night, police said.
Michael Killoy, of 22 North St., will be charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, police said.
Killoy was pulled over on Hastings Street at 10:14 p.m., police said.

Rochester man faces larceny charge
MILFORD - Police applied for a summons Wednesday for a 30-year-old Rochester man, police said.
Antonio Alencar, of 617 Marys Pond Road, will be charged with larceny by check over $250, police said.

Man charged with driving violations
MILFORD - A 22-year-old Rockland man was arrested Wednesday night following a vehicle stop on Central Street, police said.
Cleiton Carlos Santos, of 132 Central St., was arrested just before 6 p.m. and charged with driving without a license, failing to stop/yield and failure to wear a seat belt. He was also wanted on an out-of-town warrant, police said.

Police to charge man with stalking
MILFORD - Police applied for a summons Wednesday night for a 44-year-old Millville man.
Richard Peluso, of 20 Hickory Road, will be charged with threatening to commit a crime, assault and stalking, police said.

Woman will be charged with forgery
MILFORD - Police applied for a summons Wednesday night for a 22-year-old Sutton woman.
Nicol Couture, of 42 Hough Road, will be charged with forgery of a document, police said.

Milford man faces OUI charge
MILFORD - A 26-year-old Milford man was arrested Wednesday night and charged with driving under the influence of liquor and driving without a license, police said.
Jason A. Young, of 14 Mark Drive, was arrested around 11:15 p.m. after police responded to several calls of an erratic operator near Mark Drive, police said.

Man faces multiple driving violations
MILFORD - A 40-year-old Milford man was arrested early yesterday and faces several charges after police say he fled from authorities for over a half-hour, police said.
Miguel A. Correa, of 64 Luby Ave., was arrested around 7 a.m. and charged with speeding in violation of special regulation, failing to stop for police, driving without a license, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, failing to stop/yield, license not in possession, a passing violation, using a motor vehicle without authority, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace, police said.
Police attempted to stop Correa around 6:30 a.m. on Pearl Street, according to the log. He was eventually stopped nearly two miles away on Maple Street in Hopedale around 7 a.m., police said.

Police charge woman with larceny
MILFORD - A 29-year-old Norton woman was arrested yesterday and charged with larceny under $250, police said.
Danielle Burke, of 5 Perry St., was arrested around 10 a.m. at Hannaford Supermarket on Medway Road, police said.

R.I. man charged with OUI
MILLVILLE - Police arrested a North Smithfield, R.I., man Wednesday on a charge of drunken-driving following a traffic stop on Central Street.
Daniel Durand, 29, of 1031 Victory Highway, also faces one count of speeding and had an outstanding warrant from Attleboro District Court, police said. He was arrested about 9 p.m.

Car break-ins reported in Blackstone
BLACKSTONE - Police received nearly a dozen reports of car break-ins in town Thursday and yesterday. Cell phones, GPS units and cash were among the items reported stolen. Police are investigating.

Providence man charged with driving violations
MENDON - Police arrested a Providence, R.I., man Thursday on several driving violations after a traffic stop on Northbridge Street.
Spencer O. Ward, 25, of 76 Petteys Ave., faces one count each of unlicensed operation, speeding, and driving without his license and registration. He was charged about 4:30 p.m.

Uxbridge man charged with OUI
MENDON - Police arrested an Uxbridge man Thursday evening on several driving violations including drunken driving after a traffic stop near the intersection of Uxbridge Road and Nipmuc Drive.
Jacinto C. Lema, 30, of 452 Hazel St., also faces one count each of giving a false name to a police officer, unlicensed operation, having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle, driving an unregistered vehicle and a marked-lanes violation.
Police arrested him about 9:15 p.m.

Woonsocket man charged with OUI
MENDON - Police arrested a Woonsocket, R.I., man early yesterday morning on one count each of driving under the influence of liquor and a marked-lanes violation, following a traffic stop.
Michael R. Leger, 21, of 17 Cold Spring Place, was arrested about 1:20 a.m. on Uxbridge Road.

Two charged after 'mob mentality' fight
UXBRIDGE - Police charged two juveniles yesterday in connection with a fight behind a Hannaford supermarket Aug. 18 that sent a 16-year-old girl to Milford Regional Medical Center.
One was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and the other is charged with one count each of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery and mayhem. Their identities were not released because of their ages.
They are expected to be arraigned in Milford Juvenile Court Sept. 2. Police said more charges could be forthcoming. Chief Scott Freitas said in a statement the incident was very serious because it "involved some emotions brought on by a mob mentality. This type of behavior will not be tolerated by our department."
