Man charged after fight at ice cream shop
BLACKSTONE - Police charged a Blackstone man with assault and battery late Monday for fighting another customer at a local ice cream shop.
When police arrived at Sandy's Chill Spot on Main Street about 10:30 p.m., they say they found Brian Cote, 40, of 48 Blackstone St., with his hands around another man's neck.
Cote was also arrested on four warrants for not appearing in Uxbridge and Attleboro District Courts for several other charges, police said.

Police arrest woman on warrant
BLACKSTONE - Police arrested a Blackstone woman on a warrant following a traffic stop Monday afternoon. Melanie L. Demery, 23, of 45 Residential Lane, was stopped about 4:55 p.m. on Summer Street, police said.
The warrant was for failing to appear in Lowell District Court on a previous assault and battery charge, police said.

Police arrest R.I. man on warrant
BLACKSTONE - Police arrested a Woonsocket, R.I., man on a warrant when he turned himself in Monday afternoon.
Jason Andre, 19, of 419 Second Ave., came to the police station about 5:40 p.m. The warrant was for failing to pay a fine related to an earlier drug charge in Attleboro District Court, police said.

Woman charged with shoplifting
FRANKLIN - A 20-year-old Norwood woman was arrested Monday and charged with shoplifting, receiving stolen property over $250 and possession of a Class E substance, police said.
Jessica Marie Lembo, of 27 Autumn St., was arrested around 3:45 p.m. after police were called to respond to the East Central Street CVS Pharmacy.

Man faces drug, seat belt charges
FRANKLIN - A 23-year-old North Attleborough man was arrested Monday night following a motor vehicle stop on Emmons Street, police said.
David Gatro Kuma, of 2 Broadway, was arrested around 11:45 p.m. and charged with failure to wear a seat belt and possession of a Class D substance, police said.

Man faces charge of driving without license
MENDON - Police applied for a summons for a 23-year-old Framingham man on a motor vehicle charge, police said.
Jacquisson Deoliviera, of 1456A Concord St., will be charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, police said.
Deoliviera was pulled over on Hastings Street at 6:53 a.m. Monday, police said.
