Hopedale woman faces shoplifting charge
MILFORD - Police applied for a summons to charge a 40-year-old Hopedale woman with shoplifting mozzarella cheese and meat from Hannaford Supermarket by concealing the merchandise.
Police said Robin L. Landry, of 145 Greene St., tried to steal the items from the Medway Road grocery store Thursday at about 12:30 p.m. The items totaled $14.25.

Woods fire put out
MILFORD - Firefighters battled a brush fire off Lena Lane Thursday night.
About 10:30, a resident at 1 Lena Lane reported trees were on fire behind his home, according to the police log. Firefighters had the blaze knocked down at 11:15 p.m.

Two charged with receiving stolen car
FRANKLIN - A Franklin woman and Providence man were arrested Thursday at about 8:30 p.m. and charged with receiving a stolen vehicle, police said.
Angela Peccinin Cohen, 29, of 30 Cottage St., 2nd floor, Franklin, and Zini Stevens, 23, of 469 Pine St., Providence, R.I., were arrested after being pulled over on West Central Street, police said.
Stevens was also charged with driving without a license, a vehicle lights violation and two counts of violating an abuse prevention order, police said.

Bellingham teens charged with drug possession
FRANKLIN - Two Bellingham teens were arrested about midnight Thursday and charged with possession of a Class D substance, police said.
Tracy C. Mercier, 18, of 11 Little Tree Lane, and Jayme Lynn Boutilier, 18, of 81 Hixon St., were arrested at 740 King St., police said. Boutilier was wanted on a warrant from Worcester Police.

Millis woman charged with OUI
FRANKLIN - A 27-year-old Millis woman was arrested Thursday night and charged with driving under the influence of liquor, giving a false name to a police officer, driving with a revoked license and failing to stay within marked lanes, police said.
Jill Ann Cahalane, of 335 Village St., was pulled over on Lincoln Street about 11:30 p.m., police said.
