Teen faces pot charge
HOPEDALE - Police arrested a teenager early yesterday one one count of possession of marijuana, after a traffic stop on Mendon Street.
Sean Lehman, 18, of 14 Hammond Road, Hopedale, was a passenger in a car stopped for an equipment violation, police said. The officer smelled marijuana, searched the car and people inside and found it in Lehman's possession, police said.

Milford man faces vehicle violations
MILFORD - A 38-year-old Milford man was arrested Wednesday following a motor vehicle stop on Congress Street, police said.
Frank Alves, of 25 Redwood Drive, was arrested around 3 p.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license, no inspection sticker and no registration, police said.

Woman charged with assault, battery
MILFORD - A 21-year-old Franklin woman was arrested Wednesday night and charged with domestic assault and battery, police said.
Nadine V. Gugliotta, of 59 Dean Ave., was arrested around 8 p.m. at 23 Chapin St., police said.

Woman faces larceny charge
MILFORD - Police applied for a summons Wednesday night on a 22-year-old Framingham woman.
Jacqueline J. Carroll, of 31 Hastings St., will be charged with two counts of larceny from person, police said.

Police charge Milford man with OUI
MILFORD - A 43-year-old Milford man was arrested early yesterday following a car accident on Grove Street, police said.
Carlos R. Pereira, of 9 Forest St., was arrested around 12:45 a.m. and charged with driving with a suspended license and under the influence of liquor, police said.

Teen faces drug charge
FRANKLIN - A 17-year-old Franklin boy was arrested Wednesday night and charged with possession of a Class D substance, police said.
Steven R. Cohen, of 29 Old Populatic Road, was arrested around 7:30 p.m. near 322 Pleasant St., police said.

Police arrest man on warrant
FRANKLIN - A 26-year-old Franklin man was arrested Wednesday night on a warrant, police said.
Gregory P. Zanchi, of 7 Longfellow Drive, was arrested at his home around 9 p.m., police said.

Neighbors, firefighters extinguish blaze
BELLINGHAM - Firefighters extinguished a blaze contained within one bedroom at 1 Coderre Drive Wednesday afternoon, Chief Richard Ranieri said.
The fire, which is believed to have sparked from a lighter, was called in around 4 p.m. Firefighters doused the fire by 4:50 p.m., according to the police log.
Ranieri credited neighbors for helping contain the fire. He said several people used a garden hose to contain the flames to one bedroom. No one was injured.

R.I. man faces driving charge
BELLINGHAM - A 50-year-old Rhode Island man was arrested Wednesday night and charged with a marked lanes violation and driving with a suspended or revoked license, police said.
Thomas Willis, of 369 South Main St., Pascoag, R.I., was arrested around 5:30 p.m. following a motor vehicle stop near 9 North Main St., police said.
