The Milford Police Department's Law Enforcement Explorer Post #29 joined more than 3,000 other explorers from across the country at the National Law Enforcement Exploring Conference July 21-26 at Colorado State University.
The members of the post who competed were Paul Lesbirel, James Tiernan, Dan Pereira and David DaCosta. Events included arrest and search, crime prevention, pistol competition and bike policing.
The purpose of the conference was to provide a training experience for law enforcement explorers. The trip was made possible through donations from the community received by the post throughout the year.
Founded in 1973, Law Enforcement Exploring is a program for youth, ages 14 to 21, interested in the field of law enforcement.
