Ouch, that was harsh!

To answer the actual question at hand, I personally have no idea. Last week, I actually looked to see if they had a website, and I couldn't find anything other than something from their "Chief Enforcement Deputy", which was a "under construction" page. I'm not sure what a Chief Enforcement Deputy is? You would think a department that has all the technological "stuff" would have a website. I've heard these guys make in the mid thirties to start, but I can't confirm or deny that.

Since we are on the topic of Middlesex Sheriffs Dept. If you are employed as a college police officer and your powers are derived through the Middlesex Sheriffs Dept. are you eligible to work details in Middlesex County?

Ejk,

I never really thought of that. We at Essex do not give our powers out to campus', so I can't answer from experience. I am pretty sure Suffolk, although they do swear in outside agencies, does not allow the campus officers on their detail list. I can't imagine Middlesex would either. Their union would be up in arms. There was a Tufts guy here at one point that would probably know. I'm not sure if he's still around.

When I was working at Lasell College, Newton PD if they could not fill a detail would let Lasell College Police officers work details on their middlesex powers. Why NPD never made them Newton specials as well is beyond me.
