I remember in class that we learned someone legally turned 18 the day before their 18th birthday.

can someone point me to the MGL or case law that addresses this?

thanks

What class did you hear this in? :/: I would be very interested (but not very surprised) to see Massachusetts law stating that your officially a different age before your birthday, that's just plain absurd. But being Massachusetts, I would not be surprised the legislature would come up with something like that either. :smokin:

I don't believe there is a MGL regarding this, but it is thorugh common law, and various court case decisions. Some of these are Apkin v. Treasurer and Receiver General, 401 MAss. 427, 428 n. 3 (1988), and Flynn v. Associated Press, 401 Mass. 776, 780 n. 6 (1988). That's right out of a Pat Rogers book.

I don't know why those smileys are in there?
