Warrant arrest
SOUTHBOROUGH - A 44-year-old man was arrested on a warrant yesterday during a traffic stop, police said.
Juan Montanez of 5 Carlson Road in Framingham was pulled over on Oak Hill Road shortly before 11 a.m., police said.

Teen faces pot charge
FRAMINGHAM - A 17-year-old was charged with marijuana possession Thursday after an officer noticed the teen sitting on a public bench engulfed in a suspicious cloud of smoke, police said.
Justin Cardona of 159 Grant St., Apt. B, in Framingham was arrested on the corner of Arlington and Gordon streets shortly before 4 p.m., police said.

Man charged with bar stool assault
FRAMINGHAM - A 44-year-old old man was charged with domestic assault and battery Thursday after he allegedly hit a woman with a wooden bar stool and punched her in the head, police said.
David Byrne of 135 Cherry St. in Framingham was arrested at home around 10:30 p.m., police said. He was also wanted on a warrant out of Worcester District Court on charges of driving with a suspended license, failing to slow down while driving and possessing hypodermic needles, police said.

Man nabbed on motor vehicle charge
FRAMINGHAM - A 21-year-old man was arrested yesterday on a warrant from Hingham District Court for a motor vehicle charge, police said.
Sean Barrett of 2 Kane Drive in Scituate was arrested at the corner of Grove Street and Vernon Street shortly after 3 a.m., police said.

Fire at district court
FRAMINGHAM - A one-alarm blaze broke out in the lobby of Framingham District Court yesterday after plumbers left a torch near the wooden cover of a new radiator, Assistant Fire Chief John Magri said.
"It appeared to be a slow, smoldering fire," Magri said, noting that it was quickly extinguished by firefighters after they received an alert from the alarm system around 4:30 a.m.
Magri said his department is investigating the fire with the town and state fire marshals. He estimated the damage at $5,000 and said the radiator was destroyed.

Local man arrested on warrant
FRAMINGHAM - A 43-year-old man was arrested at home yesterday on a warrant, police said.
Alejo Hernandez of 265 Concord St., Apt. 2, in Framingham was arrested around 9:30 a.m., police said.

Man accused of DUI
HOLLISTON - A 28-year-old driver was arrested yesterday on alcohol and license charges, police said.
Fabio Machado of 9 East St. in Natick was charged with driving under the influence of liquor, possessing an open container of alcohol, driving without a license and failing to follow lane markings, police said. He was pulled over on Concord Street at 2 a.m., police said.

Traffic stop bust
HOPKINTON - A 25-year-old man was arrested Thursday during a traffic stop, police said.
Barrett Edwards of 211 Purchase St. in Milford was charged with driving with a suspended license, driving with a suspended registration, driving an uninsured vehicle and driving a vehicle not meeting state safety standards, police said. He was stopped on West Main Street around 7:30 a.m., police said.

Marlborough man faces OUI charge
HUDSON - A Marlborough man was arrested Thursday at 3:38 p.m. on Broad Street, police said.
James M. Curley, 50, of 16 South St., was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and for a right turn on red violation, police said.

Marlborough man charged with license violation
HUDSON - A Marlborough man was arrested Thursday at 6:10 p.m. on Main Street, police said.
Warley B. Alves, 23, of 57 Harrison Place, was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license, miscellaneous motor vehicle equipment violations, and on a number plate violation, police said.

Worcester man arrested on warrant
NORTHBOROUGH - Police on Thursday arrested a Worcester man on a warrant at his workplace on Southwest Cutoff.
Hector L. Quinonez, 24, of 93 Fairfax Road, first floor, was wanted on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery and destruction of property under $250, police said.
