MERIDEN, Conn. (AP) - Meriden police say a hit & run driver has killed a pedestrian who was walking near his home.
The victim, 25-year-old Mark Williams of Meriden, was struck around 11 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of Crown Street, a few blocks from his home.
Police say the southbound vehicle that struck him left the scene.
They believe it may be red. They say it has front-end damage and possibly a missing antenna, windshield damage and a broken right turn signal and headlight.
The incident remained under investigation Saturday.
