I'm hearing that the state might pass the early retirement plan for civil service, which would free up and allow the departments to hire new people. However, I don't if this is true or not, but keep and eye on the news.

The letter was from the SP surgeon. I recieved it about a week and a half ago. It had a copy of my physical results and said I passed the physical.

What it meant was you are in good health, the state is poor and isn't having a class, and good luck finding another job! Ha, Ha!

Well, thanks for getting my hopes up!
Good thing I didn't quit my current job to get ready for the Academy!

Hey q5-po, Where were you on Sunday? I was expecting to see you at Charbo's run? I never got anything in the mail about my physical. I did talk to a couple of guys at the race on Sunday and rumor mill is saying September for the class. Anyone else want to add to that rumor because I'm sure that is all we can take it for.

I got that letter from the state police also. Does anyone know if good luck with your career means good luck on the state police or good luck getting a new job because the class is off

It seems to me by the wording you have mentioned that they are wishing you good luck in your continuing efforts on starting a career with MSP. With no class scheduled for now or in the near future, I don't see how it could be anything else. Call Framingham HQ or Mass HRD (I'm not sure who runs the MSP test) and get a definitive answer from someone who knows what they are talking about. You run the risk of getting fed rumors if you don't do something like this. Good Luck.

Greg, I got the same thing too. Same words and everything. Same old waiting game though.....

Was out with a trooper from the last class on Tuesday night. He said there is talk of a July '03 class, but again, it's just 'talk' right now.

Until they are shaving my head and spitting in my face, I'm just sitting back and waiting.

Jeff, I will be standing right next to you, if that day ever comes!

Greg, I finally got a letter from Health Services. In short it said the same thing but like Nick mine said I had low phosphurus. I wasn't aware I was supposed to even have phosphurus. At the bottom it said good luck with your new career. I'm still hearing September for the class although July sounds better. Come by when you have a minute.

I had a question about the medical letter. I got mine last MAR. I did not say that I failed, but my phosporus levels were low and my cholesteol was elevated. I also did not get a "Good luck in your new career" at the end, but I did get the postponement letter and have not heard anything else. If I had failed, would I have been notified by now?
