Medal of Honor recipient from Massachusetts dies at 93
I just happened to read Captain Hudner's story last month. God Bless him and may he rest in peace. A true hero.
I had the honor and privilege of giving Mr. Hudner a courtesy transport in my cruiser from Logan Airport to his home in my patrol area about 10 years ago. I selfishly drove slow enough to extend my time with him and loved listening to every word of his MOH story which he graciously recounted for me. So glad you got to see the christening (April 1st, 2017) of what will be commissioned the USS Thomas Hudner (DDG-116) in Sept. of 2018. Fair winds and following seas to you Sir.
