The purpose of the MassCops postal match is to have a little fun, do a little shooting, and to have a little more fun.

General Rules
The MassCops Postal Match is open to anyone who has a MassCops login.

* Rules are NRA rules. There is no verification of your scores as it is based on the universal law of honesty.
* Shoot your match and enter as your postal score. You decide before you shoot the match that you're going to send in the score: this adds some match pressure which is the point of a postal match. Don't shoot a couple rounds and then "cherry pick" your best score.
* Scores can be e-mailed to [email protected]
* Note: Rankings are sorted by Match Score.
* In the event of a Match Score tie, I will sort based on shooters last name. As things progress X ring scores will be the tie breaker.

Course of Fire
We are following the NRA Gallery Course
There are THREE stages all shot indoors at 50 feet with various time limits and various targets.

Stage 1
Slow Fire
Shot at 50 feet there are 10 shots, shot in 10 minutes all on one NRA B-2 target. (1 target)

Stage 2
Timed Fire
Shot at 50 feet there are 2 relays of 5 shots, each relay is shot in 20 seconds. 5 shots per NRA B-3 target. (2 targets)

Stage 3
Rapid Fire
Shot at 50 feet there are 2 relays of 5 shots, each relay is shot in 10 seconds. 5 shots per NRA B-3 target. (2 targets)

Scoring
Each ring is scored as it's numerical value. All scoring is "high side" scoring. Shots touching the ring will be given the HIGHER value.

Submitting Scores
Please use the following format when submitting scores:

MassCops Member Name
Gun
Caliber
Stage 1 score
Stage 2 Score
Score for Target 1 and score for Target 2 (number of X rings)
Stage 3 Score
Score for Target 1 and score for Target 2 (number of X rings)
Total Score (All 5 targets combined)

Matches will run for 2 weeks, starting sunday and scores must be submitted by 11:59 PM by the second Saturday. E-mail being what it is...I would not wait until the last minute to shoot. You may only submit ONE score for each two week period.

As matches progress and there is a need we will split the shooters up, rimfire and centerfire, revolvers and semi-autos, factory guns and modified...iron sights and optical...whatever...remember it's just for fun.

Prizes
Right now we have no prizes so it's an issue of having bragging rights for the two weeks you are "top shot". Maybe at some point we will get some sponsors and have prizes. Some of the prize categories, Top Shot, Most improved, shooter that participates the most, highest average, most improved running average, best single target, most X rings.....

Sample Score:

SOT_II
HK USP Expert
9mm
97
44 (3x) 41 (2x)
35 (2x) 38 (3x)
255 (10x)

Again any input on the rules will be considered...I'd like to start this thing as soon as possible...like tomorrow.
