As a campus security officer, I have noticed many of my fellow officers who have now understanding of situational awareness, personal positioning, or tactical safety when on patrol. Although I am somewhat of an beginner in these area's myself, I would like to learn more and be able to show my fellow officers the things I learn. Are there any resources available that would help me improve the safety of my department?
This guy must a patrol procedures wiz! Maybe he'll throw out another gem like "don't let a suspect cock his fist and punch you in the face."WOrd from the wise, do your best to not let any one get behind you unless they are an Officer. i learned this one the hard way one night at a fignt. Never turn your back to a subject. reguardless of their involvement in the incident.
