The Massachusetts Communications Supervisors Association will be conducting informational meetings regarding the future of Public Safety Dispatcher Retirement and Massachusetts Senate Bill #1603.

In Massachusetts, dispatchers are members of a developing profession that is becoming increasing important to the public safety of all citizens. Many factors contribute to the development of a profession and serve to make careers in it productive, worthwhile and lengthy. In the case of dispatching, with its historic turnover and burnout, developing dispatcher careers is of particularly vital concern. One important factor to developing a career, especially in the public sector, is reasonable retirement benefits. It is thus appropriate and good public policy to insure that dispatchers have the retirement benefits they deserve.

We hope that you will participate in one of these informational meetings to learn about Bill# 1603 and how it will effect your retirement as an important member of the Massachusetts Public Safety Community.

We urge you to log onto the MCSA web site at http://www.ma911.org and bring along your questions and or concerns to discuss with us.
