NORWICH, Conn. (AP) - A Norwich judge has sentenced a Massachusetts man to nearly four years in prison for a drunken driving death.
Fifty-2-year-old Gregory Lyons has been sentenced to 45 months in prison for the accident that claimed the life of a 20-year-old Manchester man.
Lyons, of Springfield, Mass., had pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
Police say that on Oct. 8, 2006, Lyons struck and killed Jessie Carrier as he was walking along Route 2A in Preston. Police say tests showed Lyons had a blood alcohol content more than twice the legal limit.
