HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - A springfield man is arraigned for an incident that happened in Holyoke on July 22nd.
Luis Rivera was arrested after he allegedly threatened the manager of the McDonald's restaurant located at Maple street.
Rivera was allegedly waving a knife at people in the restaurant and refused to drop it when police arrived. He was shot once in the shoulder by police after he tried to attack officers.
Rivera was arraigned in Holyoke District Court Friday on six counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and one count of carrying a dangerous weapon.
His presence in court was waived by his attorney. Rivera remains hospitalized, his bail was set at $10,000 dollars. His next court date is September 5th.
