LACONIA, N.H. (AP) -- Police are investigating a collision in Laconia, N.H., that killed an elderly man who was crossing a busy street in a motorized wheelchair.
Police say 73-year-old Donald Boissonnault of Laconia died Wednesday after being hit on South Main Street.
Investigators say neither speed nor alcohol were factors.

There's a guy in our city who drives up and down the main road in a motorized wheelchair. He travels along about 10 mph steering with his mouth. The problem is when the chair hits an imperfection in the road it jars his head and the chair swereves out into the lane of cars. I'm surprised he hasn't been hit.
